Dr. Michelle Sala obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 1997 and has been registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario since 1998. Originally from Quebec, Dr. Sala has obtained the majority of her clinical experience in the province of Ontario where she has worked in Sault Ste. Marie, Thunderbay, Timmins, and currently in Southern Ontario, where she has opened her private practice since 2 006. With an extensive background in children’s mental health, she provides both treatment and assessment services for children and adults. In treatment, she has strong foundations in cognitive-behavior therapy with an emphasis on mindfulness. She works with both individuals and families. In the area of assessment, she has particular skills in the areas of ADHD, learning disabilities, and Autism in both children and adults. Her unique background as a bilingual psychologist with experience in clinical and school psychology has allowed her to provide assessments and consultations to school boards and other mental health agencies in both English and French. Dr. Sala has also been involved in the direct training of other professionals in providing quality services for children and families.
